Pop Culture Cakes We’ve Loved Making

If there’s one thing we love at Meet Cute, it’s a cake with a reference. From iconic films and TV characters to musicians, memes and the moments that somehow take over the internet, pop culture has given us a lot to work with.

We’ve made cakes inspired by some of our favourite icons - and some slightly more unexpected ones too. Think Dolly in all her rhinestone glory, Shrek-inspired bakes, and even Homer Simpson doing something we probably can’t put into words here.

Some pop culture cakes need absolutely no explanation. There are the cakes inspired by the things that somehow become part of the cultural conversation - like our Kim Kardashian meme cake. Because sometimes the best cake idea is the one that makes everyone say, “I know exactly what that is.” The best thing about pop culture-inspired cakes is that there really aren’t any rules. A favourite film, a TV obsession, an iconic character, a meme, a musician or even your go-to drink can all become the starting point for something completely custom.

Basically, if you love it, we can probably put it on a cake.
